Procurement FAQ
Questions buyers ask before sampling.
How is this different from a normal tinted lens?
A polarized lens is designed to reduce reflected glare in a specific orientation. A normal tinted lens mainly reduces overall light and does not provide the same polarization effect.
Why does polarization-axis alignment matter?
The polarizing axis must be controlled during edging and mounting. Incorrect alignment can reduce glare-control performance and cause inconsistency between the left and right lenses.
Are these prescription lenses?
This page covers the plano program. Prescription polarized requirements can be reviewed separately against power, diameter, base curve, color, and coating.
Can mirror coating be added?
Mirror and hard-coating options can be quoted separately. The required color, reflection, durability target, and sample standard should be confirmed first.
Is UV400 automatically included?
UV performance should be confirmed in the purchasing specification rather than inferred from tint or polarization alone. State the required standard for quotation and testing.
What should we inspect in samples?
Check color and pair consistency, reflected-glare reduction, axis alignment, optical distortion, surface quality, edge condition, and any required UV or transmission result.
