Buyer fit

Built around a clear procurement decision.

Built for optical wholesalers, laboratories, and retail groups that need a straightforward, cost-controlled clear lens assortment for low- to moderate-power prescriptions without blue-filter, photochromic, or polarized functions.

Start with representative samples, approve the agreed specification, then use it as the reference for trial and repeat orders.

Procurement FAQ

Questions buyers ask before sampling.

What is CR-39?

CR-39 is a widely used optical thermoset resin valued for clear everyday prescription lenses. It is distinct from polycarbonate and higher-index resin materials.

What does HMC mean?

HMC means hard multi-coating. It combines a hard-coated surface with multiple anti-reflective layers; the exact coating stack and any hydrophobic top layer should be confirmed in the quotation.

Is this a blue-cut lens?

No. This page describes a conventional clear CR-39 HMC lens. Blue-filter performance requires a separately specified material or coating program.

Does HMC automatically mean UV400 or super hydrophobic?

No. Anti-reflective coating, UV performance, and hydrophobic top-coat performance are separate specification items and should not be inferred from HMC alone.

When should we choose CR-39 instead of high index?

CR-39 is commonly selected for cost-sensitive low- and moderate-power programs. Higher prescriptions, large frame sizes, rimless construction, or strict impact requirements may call for another material after technical review.

Are all diameters available across the full power range?

No. Diameter, base curve, center thickness, and stock availability vary by sphere and cylinder. Send the required matrix for confirmation before ordering.
